Rumors stemming from several insiders insist that Sony will hold a State of Play event this week with January 31, 2024, being the hottest candidate for the show at the moment. Although there is no confirmation from Sony about this yet, these sources driving the rumor mill provided a list of games they believe to be included in this forthcoming event, though they themselves admit that it could be incomplete – so there might still be some surprises waiting for us.

Here are the games the rumors suggest will be shown at State of Play:

Rumors are swirling around an imminent State of Play.

The Metro-related title might be Metro Awakening VR, according to the same source that got the title of MachineGames’ upcoming Indiana Jones game right most recently.

Reliable leaker billbil-kun got in on the action as well, revealing via Dealabs that a gameplay and character reveal for Firewalk Studios’ multiplayer FPS game Concord is imminent – and that he believes this reveal to take place during State of Play, if such an event were to happen this week. Alas, he could not independently verify the existence of this upcoming show. Announced in 2023 for PC and PS5, Concord is described as a character-based multiplayer shooter inspired by the vibes and aesthetics of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

It was also billbil-kun who suggested last week that we’d hear about Death Stranding 2 and Until Dawn soon, so this lines up with an event as well.

Furthermore, we are patiently waiting for the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, to finally get a release date, which could be another potential topic for a State of Play.
