Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Marakuguc Shrine guide

All you need to know to complete the Wheeled Wonders shrine in Zelda TotK

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers more than 150 shrines, and a lot of them require you to use Zonai devices for traversal to reach the coveted Light of Blessing. Marakuguc Shrine is one of those, as a big part of it is all about creating and using vehicles with Zonai wheels to cross pits full of lava, or move objects.

Marakuguc Shrine location in TotK

The Marakuguc Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is located right next to Goron City in the Eldin region, west of Death Mountain. Its convenient location makes it an important fast travel point whenever you need to go back to the Home of the Gorons, which is also the starting point for one of the main quests, Yunobo of Goron City, which will lead you to the Fire Temple.

Things have changed in Eldin since Breath of the Wild, and reaching Goron City in Tears of the Kingdom doesn’t require fire-resistant armor or special food to keep you cool.

Once you reach Goron City, the shrine is clearly visible on a high rock to the northeast of the shops. Follow the main road up and you’ll see a watchtower you can climb and glide from to reach the shrine quickly.

The exact map coordinates of the Marakuguc Shrine are 1761, 2508, 0437.

Marakuguc Shrine walkthrough - TotK

Once you are inside the shrine, run forward until you reach a gap. There is a broken bridge made of connected panels. Look below and grab the last panel of the fallen bridge with your Ultrahand ability, and pull it up.

Attach the panel to the edge of the two panels hanging from the other side and cross the gap.

Next up is a pit filled with lava, and in front of it, a pile of connected panels to the left and a panel with two Zonal wheels attached to the right.

Use Ultrahand to attach the wheeled platform to the edge of the last panel in the pile. Hit the wheel with your weapon to activate the Zonai device and wait for the platform to pull the panels through the gap and form a bridge. Cross the bridge to the next section.

Next, you will find two wheeled panels in front of a wider lava pit. Attach them together with Ultrahand to create a basic four-wheeled vehicle.

Make sure the two sets of wheels are close to each other as this will make it easy for your improvised vehicle to cross the entire gap. Jump on the vehicle and use your weapon on one of the wheels to activate it and cross the pit.

Once you are on the other side, hit the wheels again to stop the vehicle, or jump off the vehicle, because there's a chasm on the far side of the platform.

Ascend through the platform on your left and defeat the Construct in the next chamber. There you will find a raised platform in the right corner, another wheeled device, a metal piece, and a lower platform filled with metal balls on the far side to your left.

To grab the chest, use Ultrahand on the angled metal piece and place it next to the raised platform. Grab the vehicle with Ultrahand and drop it on top of the metal piece. Don't attach it, just drop it.

Climb the platform of the vehicle which now serves as a ramp to reach the platform. Open the Zonai treasure chest to find a Strong Construct Bow inside.

Now you need to push the metal balls to the next chamber. Grab your vehicle and attach the metal piece to its front edge to create a plow vehicle.

Then position the vehicle in front of the balls with the plow facing toward them. Hop on the vehicle and activate it by hitting a wheel with your weapon.

Your plow will now push most of the balls into the next chamber. If you’ve managed to plow enough balls onto the platform, the door at the end of the chamber will open.

Go through the open door to receive your Light of Blessing.
