The annual summer event in Genshin Impact is fast approaching: Update 3.8 will feature the new time-limited region of Bottleland, which will have many adventures for players in store. While the usual summer vacation destination, the Golden Apple Archipelago, will be missed, this new area looks quite fun as well: It’ll be full of exploration mechanics – like the Choo-Choo Cart, a train/roller coaster you can ride, or the 2D world of Preprint mode – and minigames to enjoy.

Naturally, there will be rewards as well: Finding Joyeux Vouchers, which are hidden all around Bottleland, will enable you to exchange them for valuable items such as a Crown of Insight. In addition, you’ll be able to trade them in for a new skin for Kaeya, who’ll get a new Hangout Event, too. Klee will get a skin as well, dressing her up as a little witch, though you’ll have to purchase this one in the in-game shop.

Participating in the activities of Bottleland will unlock an invitation for Layla, so you can add her to your roster or boost her Constellation another level.

Genshin Impact 3.8 will feature the following minigames as part of the summer event:

  • Spino Blaster
  • Dance of Flashing Thought
  • Sojourns of the Barking Fox
  • Bing-Bang Finchball

Additional events outside of Bottleland are planned as well, such as the continuation of the Adventurer Trials.

The Genshin Impact TCG, Genius Invokation, will be expanded with a new PvE mode that sees you battle it out against an endless horde of enemies as well as new character cards: Yanfei, Candace, and Kazuha join the fray.

On top of these announcements, the 3.8 livestream revealed the new version’s character banners and contained a trailer for the region of Fontaine, which is set to arrive with update 4.0 following 3.8. You should also not forget to grab those Genshin Impact codes from the stream while you can still redeem them.
