Rumors and leaks around this move have been going around for a while and turned out to be on the mark. Since one of Xbox and Microsoft’s core messages during the long and hard acquisition process of Activision Blizzard over the past few years, though this mostly revolved around Call of Duty in the public mind, has been “more games for everyone,” this doesn’t exactly come as a surprise either. Recently, Phil Spencer explicitly said that four titles would exclusivity behind and come to other platforms.

Hi-Fi Rush is coming to another platform – though not as a surprise drop this time.

Hi-Fi Rush was released as a complete surprise during an Xbox showcase early last year and went on to celebrate massive success on PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, the action-rhythm game received five nominations at The Game Awards 2023, bringing home the trophy in the Best Audio Design category. By August 2023, it reached a combined three million players via sales and Xbox Game Pass. On Metacritic, Hi-Fi Rush received a strong critical score of 89.

Hi-Fi Rush isn’t the only Microsoft game coming to other platforms, though: Pentiment and Grounded have both been announced to arrive on Nintendo Switch in 2024.
