PSA: Wait for Wednesday to farm Planar Ornaments in Honkai: Star Rail

One of the anniversary bonuses is about to kick in

HoYoverse

It’s the start of a new week, which means a fresh set of rewards is available in the Honkai: Star Rail Simulated Universe – among them the Immersifier tokens you can exchange for Planar Ornaments. These equipment pieces are crucial for building up your characters, but the farming process can be frustrating due to the random nature of the attributes you’re getting on the gear.

If you’re like me, you probably want to get started with another Simulated Universe run as soon as possible to try and get some powerful pieces – however, I would urge you to be a bit patient this week. As part of update 2.1’s anniversary festivities, a special edition of the Planar Fissure event will kick off on April 10, 2024. Instead of the usual double drop rate, Planar Fissure will net you triple drops of Planar Ornaments in the Simulated Universe until April 17, 2024. This should make getting the exact equipment pieces you need for your characters a lot easier.

Saving up your Immersifiers for this time period is a good plan, as you’ll be able to go easy on your Trailblaze Power at first.

Later in this game version, a similarly amped-up edition of the Realm of the Strange event will provide triple drops from Caverns of Corrosion, allowing you to farm Relics more efficiently as well. Realm of the Strange will run from April 26 to May 3, 2024.

If you – like many other players – are the proud owner of an Acheron, you’ll want to get a strong set of Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm for her from Simulated Universe World 9, which is the latest addition to the game mode. It provides additional Attack and Critical Hit Rate with the latter depending on at least one party member following the same Path as the wearer – which is no problem for Acheron, since she wants to run with a Nihility team anyway.

For Acheron, you’re looking for a Planar Sphere boosting Lightning Damage as a primary stat, followed by Critical Hit Rate %, Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, and Attack %. Since she doesn’t have any Energy mechanics, your Link Rope can focus on Attack % as a primary stat with an array of Critical Hit Rate %, Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, and Break Effect % as secondaries.

In case you’re preparing for Aventurine’s arrival on the 2.1 banners and want to pre-farm some Planar Ornaments for him, you should be targeting Broken Keel, which helps his survivability and buffs his party’s offense. Focus on Defense %, Critical Hit Damage %, and Speed for his gear – other important stats like Critical Hit Rate % and Effect Resistance % can be obtained from his abilities.
