Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play RPG mixing exploration with a turn-based combat system. It was developed and published by HoYoverse, the creator of Genshin Impact, and released on April 26, 2023, on PC, Android, and iOS. A PS5 version is set to launch at a later date.
Sharing a lot of its visual identity, character acquisition and progression systems, and user interface with Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail nevertheless is a very different kind of game. In addition, it made various improvements in several areas compared to HoYoverse's flagship game.
Mixing classic sci-fi and fantasy tropes and giving it an eastern fantasy flair, Honkai: Star Rail is a space opera with memorable characters and full of great humor. It's a rewarding world to explore. Just like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail receives a consistent stream of updates, which expand the game's content and mechanics.
