The September PlayStation State of Play has come and gone and with it was a handful of new PS5 game reveals and some meaty updates on existing titles. Ghostbusters is making the jump to VR. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a release date. Ada Wong is finally starting her mission in Resident Evil. Honkai Star Rail is pulling into the Play-station (I'm sorry) sooner than we expected. Sony kicked things off with an indie game that follows an unusual premise.
Baby Steps
Baby Steps follows a pajama-wearing man following a shattered road up a mountain. There's probably a metaphor in that, but what it means for you is navigating muddy inclines, narrow paths, and dangerous situations like an actual human. Unlike your usual video game hero, this man moves like you and me - no feats of daring here.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord (PS VR 2)
Ghostbusters is coming to VR, with all the benefits of Sony's PS VR 2 headset, including 4K visuals, advanced eye tracking, and more. There's plenty of ghosts, gadgets, portals to other dimensions, and more in store, when Rise of the Ghost Lord launches on Oct. 26, 2023.
New Spider-Man 2 trailer
Insomniac offered a deep dive into the New York of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, including a few new details. Spider-Man 2's New York is double the size of the PS4 original's, with two boroughs and an abundance of new quests and lore deep dives that unlock as you explore outside the main story.

Tales of Arise DLC announcement
Bandai Namco said there would be no Tales of Arise DLC or sequel, so naturally, Bandai Namco announced Tales of Arise DLC. It takes place one year after Arise ends, when the uneasy peace between worlds comes to an end.
Foamstars open beta announcement
Square Enix is hosting an open beta for Foamstars, its Splatoon-alike, from Sep. 29, 2023, through Oct. 1, 2023, but while the multiplayer game will launch on PS4 and PS5, the beta is only open to PS5 players.
