Genshin Impact Bennett build and materials guide

How to build Genshin’s best Pyro Support
  • Author:
  • Publish date:

The best Genshin Impact Bennett build will enable you to unleash the full potential of this Pyro character and defy his notoriously ill luck. Time has certainly not hurt this young man, as he’s still one of the best Supports in the game despite being one of the oldest Genshin Impact characters.

Bennett brings a highly valuable kit to the table, which contains a strong heal, a damage buff, and consistent Pyro application to set up reactions. His Elemental Skill, Passion Overload, is a very simple Pyro attack.

His Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, deals Pyro damage in a large area and creates an Inspiration Field. Inside this field, allied characters below 70% HP gain constant HP regeneration based on Bennett’s maximum HP, while allied characters above 70% HP benefit from an Attack bonus based on Bennett's Attack. Pyro is applied to all characters in this field.

Learn everything there is to learn about how to build and ascend Bennett in Genshin Impact in this guide.

Bennett is one of the best Genshin Impact characters to have in your roster.

Best Bennett weapons – Genshin Impact

Both HP and Attack are important stats for Bennett, as they’ll maximize his value as a Support on your team. Energy Recharge is another factor to be considered, since you’ll want to use his Elemental Burst as often as you can. Aquila Favonia can boost Bennett’s Attack by 20%, while Skyward Blade provides lots of Energy Recharge.

Here are the best weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact:

  • Aquila Favonia (5-star sword)
  • Skyward Blade (5-star sword)
  • Sacrificial Sword (4-star sword)
  • Favonius Sword (4-star sword)

Best Bennett artifacts – Genshin Impact

Just like Bennett is a somewhat timeless character, Noblesse Oblige is still the go-to artifact for many Support characters despite being in the game for a very long time. It provides a boost to Elemental Burst damage at two pieces, but most importantly increases the Attack of all allied characters after using an Elemental Burst by 20% for 12 seconds at four pieces.

This is ideal for someone like Bennett, who’ll just be on the field for a short time to cast his Elemental Burst before being switched out again for the Main DPS.

You’ll want the following stat distribution on Bennett’s artifacts:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP %, Attack %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Plume: Attack (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP %, Attack %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Sands: Energy Recharge (main stat), HP %, Attack %, Elemental Mastery, HP (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Attack %, Elemental Mastery, HP (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: Healing Bonus % (main stat), HP %, Attack %, Elemental Mastery, HP (secondary stats)

Best Bennett teams – Genshin Impact

Bennett generally works best with Main DPS characters that use their Normal Attacks to generate the majority of their damage output, as this is what his Attack buff assists most with.

  • Ganyu (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Bennett (Support), Zhongli (Support)

A Melt composition with Ganyu as the Main DPS, where Xiangling and Bennett provide Pyro effects for Ganyu’s Cryo skills to react with. Bennett’s Elemental Burst heals and buffs Ganyu, while Zhongli contributes additional Attack buffs as well as shields.

  • Raiden Shogun (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Xingqiu (Sub DPS), Bennett (Support)

The iconic Raiden International Team also features the duo of Xiangling and Bennett, who deliver lots of off-field Pyro effects, which help Raiden and Xingqiu to trigger reactions. This composition basically negates Bennett’s high energy costs thanks to Raiden’s immense power as a battery.

  • Kamisato Ayato (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Kazuha (Support), Bennett (Support)

Vaporize teams can make great use of Bennett as well, and as before you should pair him up with Xiangling to provide Pyro Resonance as well as constant off-field Pyro effects. Kazuha is added here to shred the enemies’ elemental resistances.

Bennett ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Bennett’s level when you pull him, which means that you’ll need to farm his ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade his talents.

Here’s what you need to get Bennett to level 90:

  • Agnidus Agate Sliver x1
  • Agnidus Agate Fragment x9
  • Agnidus Agate Chunk x9
  • Agnidus Agate Gemstone x6
  • Treasure Hoarder Insignia x18
  • Silver Raven Insignia x30
  • Golden Raven Insignia x36
  • Windwheel Aster x168
  • Everflame Seed x46
  • Mora x2,092,530

Farming Agnidus Agate is pretty straightforward, as you can reliably get it from Pyro-affiliated enemies like the Pyro Hypostasis in Inazuma or the Pyro Regisvine in Liyue. You’ll want to fight the latter anyways, since this will give you the Everflame Seeds you need. Treasure Hoarders can be found pretty much everywhere in Teyvat and will drop the Insignia you require. Windwheel Aster is a flower native to Mondstadt and the best places to get it are at Stormterror’s Lair. As always, the best way to earn more Mora is to farm golden Ley Line Blossoms.

Here’s what you need to upgrade all of Bennett’s talents to their maximum level:

  • Treasure Hoarder Insignia x18
  • Silver Raven Insignia x66
  • Golden Raven Insignia x93
  • Teachings of Resistance x9
  • Guide to Resistance x63
  • Philosophies of Resistance x114
  • Dvalin’s Plume x18
  • Crown of Insight x3
  • Mora x4,957,500

To enhance Bennett’s talents you’ll have to farm even more Treasure Hoarders and Ley Line Blossoms. Books of Resistance are available from the Forsaken Rift Domain south of Springvale on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. Dvalin’s Plume is a boss material from fighting Stormterror at his lair. Crowns of Insight are available through time-limited events as well as regional reward tracks such as Sumeru’s Tree of Dreams.
