Hatch the most elegant of schemes with the best Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato build and proudly represent the Yashiro Commission in Inazuma. Ayato is the head of the Kamisato Clan and elder brother to Kamisato Ayaka. This 5-Star character is a clever man of refined tastes, wielding his sword in an elegant and deadly style. His arts make him an excellent Hydro Main DPS.

Ayato’s Elemental Skill, Kamisato Art: Kyouka, allows him to enter the Takimeguri Kanka state and quickly change his position, leaving a watery illusion where he stood just moments before. This will explode when an enemy nears it or after its duration expires, dealing Hydro Damage. The Takimeguri Kanka imbues Ayato’s Normal Attacks with Hydro and increases his damage based on his maximum HP as he attacks. In this mode, he can’t use Charged or Plunging Attacks, but his Normal Attacks have increased speed and his Interruption Resistance is boosted.

Ayato is one of Inazuma's most important political figures.

His Elemental Burst, Kamisato Art: Suiyuu, creates a massive field in which Bloomwater Blades rain down on enemies, dealing Hydro Damage. The active character’s Normal Attacks deal more damage inside this field as well.

Best Ayato weapons – Genshin Impact

Ayato’s signature is called Haran Geppaku Futsu and is the prime option for him to use. It boosts the Critical Hit Rate, which is great for an on-field character relying on Normal Attacks, and offers an Elemental Damage bonus to its wearer. In addition, the wearer can gain up to two stacks of Wavespike when allies use their Elemental Skills. This effect results in bonus damage for the wielder’s Normal Attack after they use their own Elemental Skill – it’s perfectly tailored for Ayato.

Here are the best weapons for Ayato in Genshin Impact:

  • Haran Geppaku Futsu (5-Star sword)
  • Mistsplitter Reforged (5-Star sword)
  • Primordial Jade Cutter (5-Star sword)
  • The Black Sword (4-Star sword)
  • Amenoma Kageuchi (4-Star sword)

Best Ayato artifacts – Genshin Impact

Ayato’s best artifact set is Echoes of an Offering, which provides a 18% Attack buff as well as an effect that further increases the damage of Normal Attacks. With the speed of Ayato’s Normal Attacks after using his Elemental Skill, this results in a massive damage increase.

You should get the following stat distribution on Ayato’s artifact set:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Attack %, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Plume: Attack (main stat), Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Attack %, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Sands: Attack % (main stat), Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: Hydro Damage % (main stat), Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Attack %, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: Critical Hit Damage or Critical Hit Rate (main stat), Critical Hit Damage or Critical Hit Rate, Attack %, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)

Best Ayato teams – Genshin Impact

Ayato’s Elemental Burst has some support capabilities for other on-field DPS characters, but he is usually the Main DPS of any team he’s fielded in. Hence he’ll want off-field characters with him to provide elemental effects he can trigger reactions with.

As mentioned above, Ayato is this team’s star and will be on the field most of the time. Nahida can provide additional Elemental Mastery to the team and adds the Dendro element into the mix for reactions. Yun Jin is a powerful support for characters relying on Normal Attack damage, as she can boost this – especially in a mixed team composition. Finally, Kuki Shinobu is a good healer for Ayato, as she can provide off-field Electro application as well.

You can choose Diona for a Freeze variation or Bennett for a Vaporize variation of this team in the healer slot. For the Sub DPS slot, you’ll want Ganyu or Layla and Xiangling respectively.

A full-on Hyperbloom composition, this team can create lots of Dendro Cores, which Ayato can trigger thanks to Raiden’s off-field effect.

Ayato ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Ayato’s level when you finally pull him, which means that you’ll need to farm his ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade his talents.

Here’s what you need to get Ayato to level 90:

  • Varunada Lazurite Sliver x1
  • Varunada Lazurite Fragment x9
  • Varunada Lazurite Chunk x9
  • Varunada Lazurite Gemstone x6
  • Old Handguard x18
  • Kageuchi Handguard x30

Sakura Blooms can only be harvested in Inazuma and you’ll need an Electro character to do it – keep a lookout for purple glowing orbs, go near them, and activate an attack or skill with Electro effect to make the material collectible. The best way to earn more Mora in the game is to farm golden Ley Line Blossoms.
