Right, we’re back with another Resident Evil 4 walkthrough, and now we’ve finally got Ashley out of her Holding Cell. The next goal is to get the parasites out of Leon and Ashley, so they don’t turn into mindless Ganados.

In this guide, we’re breaking down everything you need to get through Resident Evil 4 remake Chapter 14, just read through below so you never get stuck.

The Cargo Depot – RE4 Remake

The Cargo Depot is one of the last places in the game where you can shoot Blue Medallions, so make sure to find them all!

The start of the Cargo Depot is fairly simple. You need to climb up the stairs to find that the gate ahead is locked, and then drop down the ladder to the left to the lower level. Work your way through here and climb the stairs at the end.

In this next room there will be a bunch of enemies in the center. Clear them out, and then head up the stairs. Make Ashley hold the lever to the door open, go through the open door, then immediately sprint left to unlock the other door back into the room. Enemies will flood in to grab Ashley, and you need to stop them.

Back through the newly unlocked door with Ashley, head up the stairs and keep right. You’ll need to crouch down into some filthy water to progress. There’s a short door puzzle here – the tip is that you probably need to press the lever earlier than you think. Make Ashley hide in a locker in the next room, as you’ll need to encounter a Regenerador that morphs into an Iron Maiden. When it transforms, unload all of your ammo into its head to take it down.

Waste Disposal – RE4 Remake

There’s another Pest Control request to complete in this area, so keep your eye out for rats. 

You’ll need to have Ashley hold a switch to have a bridge up in this area. Run through the dark part of the Waste Disposal area, behind the bars to the left of the switch. There’s a power switch here that, like in the Lab, will swap which part of the Waste Disposal area is powered.

As soon as you flip the switch, Ganados will approach Ashley from the left, through the bars. Take them out before they reach her. At the same time, a Regenerador will approach you. If you can run over the bridge – assuming Ashley hasn’t been grabbed – then she will drop the bridge as you cross, dropping the monster below.

As you exit the Waste Disposal area, there will be one final Electronic Lock Terminal puzzle to solve.

The Crane fight – RE4 Remake

This next part can be fun, but can also be very tough, especially on harder difficulties. Make sure you break the boxes and collect resources first. Ashley will offer to pilot the crane to break the wall, and when that happens, Ganado soldiers will invade.

There will be a bunch more boxes to break for supplies, and a few red barrels to blow for big damage. Make sure to prevent soldiers from climbing on the crane, and you can use the blue containers and the ramp leading up to them to kite enemies towards you. If the rocket launchers come out, make sure to take them down ASAP.

As you exit the crane area, you’ll come across a new request, so make sure to read our The Wandering Dead request guide to complete that.

Go after Ashley, Amber Storeroom – RE4 Remake

Once you finally manage to use the elevator and jump through the broken office, you’ll find yourself in the Amber Storeroom, where you’ll be confronted by Saddler, and he grabs Ashley. You need to give chase, obviously.

There’s a Clockwork Castellan in this next area. Take the right path and you’ll find yourself overlooking some soldiers at the Campsite – take them out. Up ahead, you’ll find a tent that Krauser has clearly been using as a home base.

Krauser’s ruins assault – RE4 Remake

It’s time for the first phase of the Krauser fight. He’ll begin by bombarding you with bullets. Crouch behind cover to dodge. You can shoot Krauser to disrupt his aim, or wait to move between his crossbow shots. Move left into the room ahead, and Krauser will drop down to fight you. Use the same tactics as the first fight: parry and stab. Maybe even shoot if he tries to make distance. If he throws a Flash Grenade, get ready to tap Dodge.

After he disappears, climb the path in here and use the switch to open the door to the next area. Watch for explosive mines – it’s better to shoot most of them from a distance instead of avoiding them. Get ready for another brief Krauser encounter, too. If you hear his voice lines, expect a crossbow bolt.

Around this next corner, get ready for two turrets hanging from the ceiling. They’re easily taken out with a single shot. Get through the mines and into the base of the tower. One more turret, and then exit and climb the stairs here.

This next section is covered in, well, cover, but most of it will break. Sprint up towards Krauser while taking cover. You can also cheekily stand and crouch to avoid crossbow bolts, but it’s a risky game.

Once you make it through the door below him, it’s time for a bigger fight. Same tactics as before, but Krauser will be going all out. If he jumps to the upper level, shoot him down. Once it’s done, Krauser will transform, and plunge you to the lower levels, where he’ll ambush you for an attack – parry the first, dodge the second. Follow the path ahead to finish him off.

Final Krauser fight – RE4 Remake

Get ready to dodge his first attack. The strategy remains the same, but he’s much tougher now. Parry his attacks as best you can, and stab him with your knife – hopefully you’ve upgraded it plenty by now.

If he staggers and drops his arm shield things, pull out either a magnum or your shotgun and unleash hell. If you get the opportunity to use melee attacks, go right ahead. If you’ve been practicing your parries and you have a few health items at the ready, you’ll get through this fight easily.
