Just like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has over a hundred shrines to put you to the test. These little puzzles are sometimes straightforward, but other times can be fiendishly tricky. One such shrine is the Riogok Shrine, Force Transfer, as it makes creative use of your abilities in ways you may not have considered.

You can find this shrine on the Great Plateau, which is a more challenging area than it was in Breath of the Wild, so here’s how to solve this shrine puzzle.

Riogok Shrine solution – Force Transfer – Zelda TOTK

First, you need to open the gate, do this by attaching the pole on the floor to the cogs so that it connects the two. Use the node to make one cog turn and the pole will push the other along.

Go through the gate and leave the cogs turning for now. Instead, once again use Ultrahand to attach another pole to the level, letting you pull it across, unlocking a third pole.

Now you can get the chest, which is in the far corner of the room. Start by attaching two poles with Ultrahand.

Raise the poles towards the chest and you’ll be able to attach them with Ultrahand, letting you pull it to the ground.

Keep those two poles attached and place them up on the first platform attached to the wall, so you can easily grab them. Use Ascend to get up onto the lower platform then use Ultrahand to raise the top platform as high as it will go. Hold it there for roughly ten seconds.

Now use Rewind on the platform, and while it’s raised, attach the two poles to the lower platform directly under the top one. When it drops back down, it will be slightly raised and directly connected to the lower platform.

Next, you need to retrieve the first pole you used. To do this, disconnect the pole and bring it as close to the gate as you can.

Then use Rewind on the right-hand cog to open the gate, pull the pole through while it’s open.

Attach the pole to the extended arm of the cog, this will let you pull the cog around with Ultrahand.

Use Ultrahand to make the extended arm of the cog push the two platforms up to the top and hold them there for about ten seconds.

Finally, use Rewind on the platforms and Ascend to the top while they’re raised, and you can head to the exit.
