Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Where’s Tulin?

Before you go to the Wind Temple, you first need to find Tulin who is waiting for you in Rito Village

The Rito Village is one of the first places you should go after landing in Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It is home to one of the game’s easier dungeons, The Wind Temple, and is a great place to start. For more information on what order you should do dungeons in, you can check out our guide.

Before you go to the Wind Temple, you first need to find Tulin, the son Teba who helped you out in Breath of the Wild. He’s waiting for you in Rito Village but that’s not exactly the easiest place to find, particularly if you haven’t unlocked all of the Skyview Towers. You will need the paraglider before you start out, which you can find using our guide.

How to get to New Serenne Stable – Zelda TotK

The first thing you will want to do is grab your horse. If you haven’t caught and registered a horse, or transferred one from Breath of the Wild, you’ll want to do that first. Luckily, it’s easy to get to the first stable from Lookout Landing where you first land.

If you press in the left stick to look through your Purah Pad and look west, you should be able to see and mark New Serenne Stable on your map. You can also follow the road northwest of Lookout Landing, and it will take you straight there.

Once here, you should take out a horse from the stable. This is the easiest way to get to Rito Village if you are just starting out. It is quite a long distance away, and you’ll want to have something faster than running speed.

Getting to the Lucky Clover Gazette - Zelda TotK

The next stop on the road will be the Lucky Clover Gazette. From New Serenne Stable, follow the road and take a left at the fork, which will lead you under some rocky arches. At the next fork, you will want to keep right, and you will approach Tabantha Bridge Stables. It’s a good idea to stop off here and grab your Pony Point for unlocking the stable.

Cross over Tabantha Great Bridge and follow the path. This part of the route is fairly easy, though you may have trouble at the very narrow Kolami Bridge. Your horse can cross this bridge if it’s tame enough, just remember that you have to trot instead of canter or gallop. Continue to follow the path, and you should see what looks like a stable over the hill, but actually this is the Lucky Clover Gazette.

Crossing the broken bridge to the Rito Village - Zelda TotK

Before you try to cross the broken bridge into Rito Village, it’s a good idea to go in and say hi. This will unlock the Great Fairy quests that allow you to upgrade your armor. Once you’ve done that, head over to the girl who is standing by a fire.

The fire isn’t big enough for you to use the paraglider yet, but you can make it bigger by throwing a Hylian Pine Cone on it. There are plenty of these around the Lucky Clover Gazette, so don’t worry if you haven’t picked one up yet. You can hold this in your hand from the menu, and then drop it onto the fire. Once the fire has grown, you can jump and get out the paraglider to glide safely to the other side.

Where is Tulin in Rito Village? - Zelda TotK

Once you have crossed the broken bridge, you can head straight into Rito Village. You will need at least one level of cold resistance, which you can get by cooking Spicy Peppers, or by equipping cold-resistant clothes. There is a set on the Great Sky Island at the start, but if you didn’t grab those, they also sell them in the village.

To get to Tulin, you have to climb up the spiral staircase almost to the top of the village. You will see a lookout point to the right where Teba, Saki, and Tulin are standing. Approach them to start a cutscene, after which the Tulin of Rito Village main quest will begin.

Now you can proceed to the Wind Temple.
