Honkai: Star Rail – Jiaoqiu revealed for version 2.4

Foxian Zhuge Liang
HoYoverse

Another upcoming Honkai: Star Rail character has been announced for version 2.4 of the game: Jiaoqiu is a member of the Foxian species from the Xianzhou Yaoqing, so we’re going to meet a representative of yet another ship of the Xianzhou Alliance. He’s a 5-Star character dealing Fire Damage and following the Path of The Nihility.

Voiced by Mark Whitten, whom HoYoverse fans will know as Kaedehara Kazuha from Genshin Impact, Jiaoqiu’s description indicates that he’ll have a very interesting position in terms of his gameplay role: Jiaoqiu appears to be a Nihility healer – this position is usually reserved for the followers of The Abundance, so this would quite a change of pace.

Find Jiaoqiu’s official lore below:

“No matter how many times I say it, people always forget – cooking is medicine, and making medicine is cooking. Using food to treat the sick is my specialty. As the saying goes, a chef who doesn't want to be a healer isn't worth his salt... or pepper, for that matter.”

A Foxian healer from the Xianzhou Yaoqing and a counselor. Often greets people with a smile, but is rather cunning. Born into a prestigious Alchemy Commission family, he once withdrew from practicing medicine due to a broken heart. However, he returned to the field to treat “the Merlin's Claw,” General Feixiao. Skilled in the study of alchemical prescription that views food as medicine, especially those that induce a sensation of spiciness. They invented a cauldron-based medicinal formula known as the “nine-squared grid.”

Jiaoqiu will arrive in update 2.4 alongside Yunli. Before they are introduced, we have unfinished business on Penacony to wrap up in update 2.3, which is going to bring Firefly and Jade into the game.
