Update 2.4.0 for Total War: Warhammer 3 (TW:WH3) has arrived, officially ending the beta version status of its ambitious Immortal Empires mode and making it available to all owners of the game.

Previously, players had to own all three games of the Total War: Warhammer trilogy to gain access to Immortal Empires.

Immortal Empires combines the contents of the entire trilogy and its countless DLC packs into one massive game mode, which is playable in TW:WH3. It was released in August 2022, a few months after the title’s launch. Despite some hiccups, this huge project has critically contributed to make TW:WH3 into one of the best strategy games to play right now.

The official launch trailer for the game mode also teases the next DLC pack for TW:WH3, which is set to be released in April 2023.

It confirms what fans have been speculating about for months now: the Chaos Dwarfs are coming – at least that’s what the industrial setting and the greenskin slaves shown in the last seconds of the video should hint at.

Creative Assembly has also simplified how players can gain access to additional factions for Immortal Empires, enabling separate DLC purchases. That means you can now buy the Tomb King or Vampire Coast DLC without also having to own Total War: Warhammer 2.

Update 2.4.0 also contains a bunch of gameplay changes and bug fixes, which you can find in the full patch notes below.
