Assassin's Creed Mirage is the thirteenth mainline video game in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Centered around the origin story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a character introduced in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Mirage is set entirely in 9th-century Baghdad.

It follows Basim's journey from a street thief to a member of the Hidden Ones, working in the shadows to hunt down the string-pulling members of the Order of the Ancients in the Abbasid Caliphate's capital.

The more compact setting positions AC Mirage as a return to earlier Assassin's Creed games known for their detailed historic recreations of famous cityscapes. Gameplaywise, Mirage promises a return to the series' stealth mechanics and iconic assassinations, at the expense of the RPG elements introduced by its more recent predecessors.
