Genshin Impact 4.5 livestream: start times and where to watch
Version 4.5 for Genshin Impact is knocking on our doors and the newly announced special program this coming Friday will enlighten us in regards to its content. The next update will be called “Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade” and is almost certainly a reference to the only fresh character we’re going to get in 4.5 – the clever fashion designer Chiori, who wields two blades when she’s in combat.
This upcoming special program will go back to normal with some of the Genshin Impact VAs hosting the show. Going by the artwork for the stream, Zach Aguilar (Aether) will be the main host. He’ll likely be joined by Julia Gu (Kirara) and Valeria Rodriguez (Sucrose), suggesting that their characters will have a role to play in the coming events as well. Finally, the show will be joined by Chiori’s VA, who has not been officially announced yet.

Additionally, you can catch the stream on YouTube at the same time. Prior streams always ran there with an hour of delay, but it looks like HoYoverse is changing this policy. It’ll also be available as a VOD on YouTube, so you can watch it there any time.

Genshin Impact 4.5 livestream: what to expect
As is tradition, we’ll get to know more about the upcoming Genshin Impact character for this version, which is only Chiori for this update. Though born in Inazuma, Chiori struck out into the world and eventually ended up becoming a renowned fashion designer and boutique owner in Fontaine. That does not mean she forgot about her training with the blade – or blades, as the 5-Star Geo character will wield two of them.
Improvements in update 4.5 are aimed at making the character building experience for players better. In-game guides will lead you towards the ascension materials you require and will give recommendations for weapons and artifacts. They’ll even provide suggestions for which talents you should level up first.
In general, update 4.5 will be on a smaller scale than the previous version: No map expansion is planned this time around. Players can expect a variety of events and character quests with the artwork for the livestream suggesting that we’re headed towards some kind of festival again.
Finally, the special program is guaranteed to drop some Genshin Impact promo codes for free Primogems and other useful resources.
