Unleash some fireworks with the best Genshin Impact Yoimiya build, unlocking the power of friendship and explosives. This 5-Star character is not only one of the most adorable in Genshin Impact, but can also be one of the most lethal. Using her bow, Naganohara Yoimiya brings the full power of her Pyro Vision to bear against anyone that may threaten her.

Yoimiya’s Elemental Skill, Niwabi Fire-Dance, infuses her Normal Attacks with Pyro, increasing their damage and allowing her to consistently apply the elemental effect.

Naganohara Yoimiya, the friendly girl from the neighborhood that makes fireworks.

Her Elemental Burst, Ryuukin Saxifrage, unleashes a barrage of missiles on the target area, dealing Pyro Damage inside and marking one of the hit enemies with Aurous Blaze. When an ally deals any kind of damage to an enemy affected by Aurous Blaze, it will trigger an additional explosion dealing Pyro Damage in an area of effect. If the enemy marked in this way is downed before the duration of the effect expires, it will pass to a nearby opponent and can be triggered again.

Yoimiya is a powerful Main DPS, who wants to spend prolonged amounts of time on the field before making way for allies to complete and set up combo attacks.

Best Yoimiya weapons – Genshin Impact

Yoimiya is relying on her Normal Attacks to deal most of her damage, making Thundering Pulse a perfectly suited weapon for her. It increases the Critical Hit Damage as well as Attack. On top of these two useful stats, it generates up to three stacks of an effect that boosts Normal Attack Damage, playing fully into Yoimiya’s strength.

Here are the best weapons for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact:

  • Thundering Pulse (5-Star bow)
  • Polar Star (5-Star bow)
  • Aqua Simulacra (5-Star bow)
  • Rust (4-Star bow)

Best Yoimiya artifacts – Genshin Impact

Yoimiya’s best artifact set is Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, which provides an Attack boost at two pieces and a Normal Attack Damage buff at four pieces. However, the latter comes at the price of sacrificing some Energy, meaning you won’t be able to use Ryuukin Saxifrage as often. This doesn’t matter much to Yoimiya’s own DPS, which mainly comes from Normal Attacks, but can hamper the rest of her team, since the Elemental Burst provides an Attack bonus to everyone in the party but Yoimiya.

If you don’t want to lose out on that bonus, Crimson Witch of Flames is a strong alternative, as it can provide a high damage output without reducing Yoimiya’s Energy from time to time. This set is especially good in reaction compositions, such as an Overload team featuring Chevreuse.

You should get the following stat distribution on Yoimiya’s artifact set:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), Critical Hit Rate, Critical Hit Damage, Attack %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Plume: Attack (main stat), Critical Hit Rate, Critical Hit Damage, Attack %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Sands: Attack % (main stat), Critical Hit Rate, Critical Hit Damage, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: Pyro Damage % (main stat), Critical Hit Rate, Critical Hit Damage, Attack %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: Critical Hit Rate or Critical Hit Damage (main stat), Critical Hit Rate or Critical Hit Damage, Attack %, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)

Best Yoimiya teams – Genshin Impact

As mentioned above, Yoimiya spends most of her time on the field, leaving only to have other characters set up off-field effects or healing while her Elemental Skill is offline and on cooldown. Teams boosting Normal Attack Damage and being able to set up powerful reactions are great for her.

In this team, Raiden Shogun or another off-field Electro character like Yae Miko, Fischl, or Beidou provide Electro effects for Yoimiya to trigger with her Pyro-infused Normal Attacks. Overload will deal massive damage to enemies and allow Chevreuse to use her enhanced Elemental Skill for additional damage. Chevreuse and Bennett keep the team healed up with the latter providing a damage buff as well.

  • Yoimiya (Main DPS), Yelan (Sub DPS), Yun Jin (Support), Zhongli (Support)

Yelan, Xingqiu, or another off-field Hydro character take on the role of the Electro character in the composition described above, allowing Yoimiya to trigger plenty of Vaporize reactions. Yun Jin is a strong support for characters depending on their Normal Attacks, since she can buff those. In the fourth slot, Zhongli is a solid option due to his strong shields and resistance reduction, but you can also use a healer like Bennett here.

Yoimiya ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Yoimiya’s level when you pull her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her combat talents.

Here’s what you need to get Yoimiya to level 90:

  • Agnidus Agate Sliver x1
  • Agnidus Agate Fragment x9
  • Agnidus Agate Chunk x9
  • Agnidus Agate Gemstone x6
  • Divining Scroll x18
  • Sealed Scroll x30
  • Forbidden Curse Scroll x36
  • Naku Weed x168
  • Smoldering Pearl x46
  • Mora x2,092,530

Agnidus Agate can be obtained from any Pyro-affiliated boss on the world map, such as the Pyro Hypostasis in Inazuma or the Pyro Regisvine in Liyue. Since you get Smoldering Pearls from said Hypostasis, farming for Yoimiya is relatively uncomplicated. Divining Scroll and its upgraded versions are easy to come by as well, being dropped by the common Hilichurl casters.

Naku Weed is a regional plant you’ll only find on the islands of Inazuma. The best way to earn more Mora in the game is to farm Golden Ley Line Blossoms.

Aside from her Elemental Skill, her Charged Attack can unleash burning arrows as well.

Here’s what you need to upgrade all of Yoimiya’s talents to their maximum level:

  • Divining Scroll x18
  • Sealed Scroll x66
  • Forbidden Curse Scroll x93
  • Teachings of Transience x9
  • Guide to Transience x63
  • Philosophies of Transience x114
  • Dragon Lord’s Crown x18
  • Crown of Insight x3
  • Mora x4,957,500

For the materials already mentioned, check above. You’ll need to visit the Violet Court domain in Inazuma on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday to farm Scrolls of Transience. Dragon Lord’s Crown is a boss item only dropped by Azhdaha in Liyue, so you’ll need to head to his domain to obtain it.

Crowns of Insight are a rare item gained from time-limited events or regional reward mechanics like the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma, the Tree of Dreams in Sumeru, or the Fountain of Lucine in Fontaine.
