Bring to bear some actual firepower with the best Genshin Impact Chevreuse build and show this world of swords and elemental sorcery the might of a musket. Commanding a Pyro Vision, this 4-Star character wields a combination of polearm and rifle to maintain justice and order in Fontaine.

The captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol deals Pyro Damage in an area of effect when you activate her Elemental Skill, Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire, with a tap. In addition, she’ll heal the active unit’s HP for a short time after firing her musket with the amount being healed depending on her own maximum HP. Holding the Elemental Skill button will allow Chevreuse to aim her shot for more range and precision. If Chevreuse has an Overcharged Ball, which she gains whenever an ally triggers the Overloaded reaction, this shot will have a larger area of effect.

Chevreuse wields her musket like a sniper rifle.

Her Elemental Burst, Ring of Bursting Grenades, allows her to launch a grenade through her musket, dealing Pyro Damage in an area of effect. After the projectile hits, it splits into several secondary explosives that burst after a short period of time to deal additional Pyro Damage.

Most of Chevreuse’s passive skills and Constellations provide benefits to Pyro and Electro characters, making her a powerful support unit for such team compositions.

Best Chevreuse weapons – Genshin Impact

You can go two ways with Chevreuse, either maximizing her own damage output (in which case something like Skyward Spine will do the trick) or focusing on a support role. We’ll focus on the latter in this guide, since it is the most effective way to build Chevreuse.

As such, Rightful Reward as a weapon boosting HP is a good choice, especially since you can forge it in the game from a blueprint and won’t need to rely on banners to get it. More maximum HP for Chevreuse means more healing, while the polearm’s Energy Regeneration effect will be helpful in getting her Elemental Burst up and running more often.

Here are the best weapons for Chevreuse in Genshin Impact:

  • Skyward Spine (5-Star polearm)
  • Rightful Reward (4-Star polearm)
  • Favonius Lance (4-Star polearm)
  • The Catch (4-Star polearm)
  • Black Tassel (3-Star polearm)

For this support build, we’re going with a bread-and-butter support artifact set: Noblesse Oblige. It increases the Elemental Burst Damage of the wearer by 20% and provides a 20% Attack buff for all allies for twelve seconds after using an Elemental Burst, making it the perfect start to any number of powerful combos.

If you don’t have a suitable set of Noblesse Oblige, a solid alternative would be to combine two pieces from Tenacity of the Millelith with two pieces of Vourukasha’s Glow, which both provide a 20% boost to maximum HP. Another option is the Song of Days Past set, which increases the Healing Bonus and provides an active character being healed with additional damage.

You’ll want the following stat distribution on Chevreuse’s artifacts:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), HP %, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Plume: Attack (main stat), HP %, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Sands: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: HP % (main stat), Energy Recharge, HP, Elemental Mastery, Attack % (secondary stats)

Best Chevreuse teams – Genshin Impact

Chevreuse is designed to function in Pyro and Electro compositions – one of her passive skills straight-up doesn’t kick in when characters of other elements are present on her team. As such, she’s only going to be valuable in this niche.

You’ll need a Pyro Main DPS with lots of Pyro application, so someone like Yoimiya, Lyney, or Yanfei is going to be perfect, paired with an Electro Sub DPS that can provide lots of off-field Electro application. Raiden Shogun is a powerful option there, but characters like Yae Miko, Beidou, or Fischl do a great job as well.

The goal is to produce as many Overloaded reactions as you can, which not only do massive damage by themselves, but provide Chevreuse with the Overcharged Ball effect, maximizing the damage of her Elemental Skill when she uses it to trigger healing. Your fourth slot is relatively flexible, as long as you stay within the Pyro-Electro framework. Bennett is always a fantastic option, but Dehya works alright to sustain the team as well. Kujou Sara provides additional Electro application and damage buffs, so she’s a strong pick as well.

Turning things around, you can also use an Electro Main DPS, while switching to a Pyro Sub DPS like Xiangling. As long as you don’t break the framework and provide enough elemental application to create Overloaded, the team will do plenty of damage.

Chevreuse ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Chevreuse’s level when you pull her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her talents.

Here’s what you need to get Chevreuse to level 90:

  • Agnidus Agate Sliver x1
  • Agnidus Agate Fragment x9
  • Agnidus Agate Chunk x9
  • Agnidus Agate Gemstone x6
  • Meshing Gear x18
  • Mechanical Spur Gear x30
  • Artificed Dynamic Gear x36
  • Lumidouce Bell x168
  • Fontemer Unihorn x46
  • Mora x2,092,530

Farming Agnidus Agate is pretty straightforward, as you can reliably get it from Pyro-affiliated enemies like the Pyro Hypostasis in Inazuma or the Pyro Regisvine in Liyue. Sadly, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse, which you need to defeat to acquire Fontemer Unihorns, doesn’t drop those gems, requiring you to farm on two different avenues. Meshing Gears and its upgraded versions are available from Meka enemies in Fontaine, while Lumidouce Bell is a type of fruit you can find in the northern regions of Fontaine. As always, the best way to earn more Mora is to farm Golden Ley Line Blossoms.

  • Guide to Order x63
  • Philosophies of Order x114
  • Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom x18
  • Crown of Insight x3
  • Mora x4,957,500

To enhance Chevreuse’s talents you’ll have to farm even more Gears and Mora. Books of Order are available from the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain in Fontaine on Wednesday, Satuday, and Sunday. Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom is a boss material from fighting the All-Devouring Narwhal. Crowns of Insight are available through time-limited events as well as regional reward tracks such as Inazuma’s Thunder Sakura, Sumeru’s Tree of Dreams, and Fontaine’s Fountain of Lucine.
