How long to beat Starfield: full main mission list
Bethesda games are known for being expansive and open. The “go anywhere, do anything” philosophy is what drives the world design in Starfield, so nailing down exactly how long it takes to do everything is no easy feat. With so many planets to explore and survey, you could theoretically spend years scouring every corner of this galaxy.
Most people probably won’t be that dull though and want to play the game’s main story along with all the side content you can find along the way. So we’ll tell you how long Starfield is, as well as detailing every mission on the main questline.
How long is Starfield?

With our primary focus on the main story, stopping occasionally to do some side content or questlines, it took us on average, 35-40 hours to complete the main story. Naturally, if you’re laser-focused things can go much quicker, or if you’re looking to see everything there is to see it’ll take significantly longer. We were still discovering new things to do over 80 hours in, and that doesn’t even take into account the game’s unique take on New Game+, which you should absolutely see for yourself.
