Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu revealed for update 1.4

Character from Jing Yuan story trailer is finally appearing

HoYoverse is continuing to tease content of upcoming versions of Honkai: Star Rail to keep the hype train going: Jingliu has been confirmed as a 5-Star character that will join the game in update 1.4.

Jingliu follows The Destruction and deals Ice Damage. She previously appeared in and outside of the game, being first introduced to us in an animated short dealing with the past of Jing Yuan. Later, she debuted in the game during the Companion Mission for Yanqing, Jing Yuan’s current apprentice.

Jingliu is the first confirmed character for update 1.4.

This is her official description:

"Whoever wishes to learn my swordplay, I will teach them." One of the legendary heroes making up the High-Cloud Quintet, and bestowed with the title "Transcendent Flash." Having ascended beyond mortal concepts of victory, she chose to walk a different path to obtain the power capable of slaying gods. Thereafter, one Sword Champion of the Luofu was removed from the Xianzhou's records, and one traitor erased from the annuals was added.”

AmaLee has been confirmed as her voice actress for the English version of the game. She already voiced her in the animated short, so this is not a surprise by any means.

We expect two more upcoming characters, one 5-Star and one 4-Star, to be released with her in version 1.4. However, update 1.3 is up first on the agenda, containing Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx as new characters alongside a variety of game improvements like a boosted Trailblaze Power limit. A livestream will have more details about the next patch this week.

Version 1.4 is set to be launched mid-October 2023.
