The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is always evolving, just like the creatures on its cards. Since the universe of Pokémon is steadily being expanded with new regions and monsters, the TCG also has unlimited fodder for additional sets.

Naturally, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the latest mainline game to be released in the series, is the next target for fresh TCG action. We finally know all the contents of Pokémon TCG’s first Scarlet & Violet expansion set. Alongside some support cards, it brings Paldea’s starter Pokémon, the new Legendaries, and a few other new monsters into the game.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG: all Pokémon cards

Starters and evolutions

All the starters and their evolutions have their own cards and each starter gets a new style of card, which is covered by one big artwork.

Only the Japanese versions of the cards were shown, so some moves may be translated differently in the official translation.

Here’s what you need to know about each card:

  • Basic Sprigatito 70HP – Dig Claws – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 30 damage.
  • Full Art Sprigatito 60HP – Collect Sunlight – Cost: single grass energy. Effect: place two basic energy in your hand.
    • Seed Bomb – Cost: single grass energy. Effect: 10 damage.
  • Floragato 90 HP – Seed Bomb – Cost: single grass energy. Effect: 30 damage.
    • Magic Whip – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 50 damage, swaps opponent’s active Pokémon with one on the bench.
  • Meowscarada EX 310HP – Ability Flower Trick – Effect: Discard a basic energy and deal 30 damage.
    • Scratch Nail – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 100 damage. If your opponent’s Pokémon is damaged, deal an extra 120 damage.
  • Basic Fuecoco 80HP – Tackle – Cost: single fire energy. Effect: 20 damage.
  • Full Art Fuecoco 90HP – Spacing Out – Cost: single colorless energy. Effect: Flip a coin, if heads heal 30 damage.
    • Flare – Cost: single colorless energy, single fire energy. Effect: 30 damage.
  • Crocalor 110HP – Fire Breath – Cost: single fire energy. Effect: 30 damage.
    • Hyper Voice – Cost: double fire energy. Effect: 50 damage.
  • Skeledirge EX 340HP – Song of Vitality – Cost: one fire energy. Effect: 50 damage, heal 30 damage.
    • Burning Voice – Cost: double fire energy. Effect: 270 damage plus +10 damage for each damage counter on Skeledirge.
  • Basic Quaxly 70HP – Reckless Charge – Cost: single water energy. Effect: 30 damage, Quaxly takes 10 damage.
  • Full Art Quaxly 60HP – Gel Wager – Cost: single colorless energy, single water energy. Effect: 20 damage, if the opposing Pokémon attacks next turn, flip a coin, if tails the attack misses.
  • Quaxwell 90HP – Water Gun – Cost: single water energy. Effect: 30 damage.
    • Splash – Cost: single colorless energy, single water energy. Effect: 50 damage.
  • Quaquaval EX 320HP – Excite Samba – Cost: single water energy. Effect: 60 damage, both you and your opponent swap your active Pokémon for one on the bench.
    • Screw Shoot – Cost: single colorless energy, single water energy. Effect: 230 damage, discard two energy cards from Quaquaval.

Other Pokémon

The box legendaries have been revealed as well and are featured on two art cards. Other Pokémon revealed include all versions of Paldean Tauros, and one form of Oricorio.

Here’s what you need to know about each card:

  • Koraidon 130HP – Claw Slash – Cost: triple colorless energy. Effect: 70 damage.
    • Rampaging Fang – Cost: single colorless energy, triple fire energy. Effect: 190 damage, discard three energy cards from Koraidon.
  • Miraidon 120HP – Sharp Fang – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 30 damage.
    • Lightning Laser – Cost: single colorless energy, double lightning energy. Effect: 90 damage, also deal 30 damage to a benched Pokémon.
  • Paldean Tauros 130HP – Angry Horn – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 20 damage, deals +10 damage for each damage counter on Tauros.
    • Combat Tackle – Cost: single colorless energy, double fighting energy. Effect: 130 damage, deal 30 damage to Tauros.
  • Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed) 130HP – Angry Horn – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 20 damage, deals +10 damage for each damage counter on Tauros.
    • Blaze dash – Cost: single colorless energy, double fire energy. Effect: 120 damage, discard one energy from Tauros.
  • Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed) 130HP – Angry Horn – Cost: double colorless energy. Effect: 20 damage, deals +10 damage for each damage counter on Tauros.
    • Water Dive – Cost: double colorless energy, single water energy. Effect: 60 damage to any Pokémon.
  • Oricorio 90HP – Ability Passion Dance – Effect: Recover 20HP on any evolved Pokémon.
    • Flap – Cost: one colorless energy, one fire energy. Effect: 30 damage.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG: all support cards

Eight support cards have been revealed to come with the set: four trainer cards, two item cards, and two new types of energy cards.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new support cards:

  • Super Energy Retrieval – Discard two cards, and retrieve any four energy cards from your discard pile.
  • Luminous Energy – Works as any type of energy.
  • Rare Candy – Evolve a basic benched Pokémon to a Stage 2 Pokémon.
  • Artazon – Place a basic Pokémon in your hand.
  • Dendra – Place a card at the bottom of your deck, and retrieve five.
  • Clavell – Put three basic Pokémon with 120HP or below in your hand.
  • Nemona x2 – Draw three cards.
