Genshin Impact 3.8, titled Battleland Legends, will be the next version of the popular RPG and it’s going to be a special one – not only do we get our annual summer event with a time-limited region to explore, but this will be the final update for version number 3. That’s right, update 4.0 – and with it the launch of Fontaine – are so close now, we can practically hear the ocean waves over the horizon.

HoYoverse has already given some updates on improvements players can expect to see in both update 3.8 and 4.0, but as usual there will be a lot more to discover in the brand-new patch than is known at this point, especially with a completely fresh summer region coming up.

While the voice talent for the English livestream have not been announced yet, the voices of Klee, Kaeya, Collei, and Zhongli are featured on the Chinese and Japanese editions.

Here’s where and when you can catch the Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream.

Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream: where to watch

You can watch the Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel at the times stated above. If you’d rather use TikTok, you can catch the stream there as well.

Additionally, you can watch a rerun of the stream on YouTube exactly one hour later. It’ll also be available as a VOD on YouTube, so you can view it there any time.

Genshin Impact 3.8 livestream: what to expect

What else do we know about Genshin Impact 3.8 aside from some quality-of-life improvements and the existence of the summer event?

For one, there will be no new playable characters in this patch – Kirara was the last one before 4.0. Instead, you can expect the usual series of reruns. Without a new 5-star character, update 3.8 has four slots for reruns, which means that the chances are great for Eula to finally celebrate her return – she’s been without a rerun far longer than any other character.

While there have been no specific leaks about 3.8 in the recent flood of unofficial information, a few art pieces for Kaeya and Klee skins have been spotted. Klee’s looks like a witch outfit you’d buy a kid for Halloween, while Kaeya is dressed like a Middle Eastern potentate with a turban and everything else for the role – and seeing how Battleland Legends seems to be taking place in an arid location, that would very well fit.

Finally, there is bound to be some sort of Fontaine teaser as well – after all, we need the Traveler to set off for this new land soon.

Expect the usual series of Genshin Impact codes to be shown during the livestream, too.
