Captivate the audience with the best Honkai: Star Rail Guinaifen build and become the people’s favorite street performer. Following the Path of The Nihility and dealing Fire Damage, Guinaifen specializes in causing damage of time, or DoT, as well as making enemies more vulnerable to attacks made by her allies.

Her Skill, Blazing Welcome, deals Fire Damage based on her Attack to the target as well as any adjacent enemies, having a chance to inflict Burn on them all. Guinaifen’s Burn deals damage based on her Attack and lasts for two turns.

Guinaifen’s Ultimate, Watch This Showstopper, deals Fire Damage based on her Attack to all enemies on the field. If they are already suffering from Burn, its damage effect is immediately triggered.

Ready for this show? Guinaifen's fiery performance will exceed your expectations.

Her Talent, PatrAeon Benefits, provides a chance for enemies to be inflicted with Firekiss after they take damage from Burn. While suffering from Firekiss, enemies receive additional damage from all sources. This effect lasts for three turns and can stack up to three times.

Guinaifen’s Eidolon Levels, which can be upgraded by pulling additional copies of her, further boost her capabilities. Eidolon 1 adds a chance of reducing the enemy’s Effect Resistance to Guinaifen’s Skill. Eidolon 2 enables Guinaifen’s Basic Attack and Skill to increase the damage multiplier of the Burn status affecting her target. Eidolon 4 regenerates Energy for Guinaifen whenever Burn inflicted by her damages an enemy. Finally, Eidolon 6 allows Firekiss to stack four times instead of three.

Honkai: Star Rail – Guinaifen: best Light Cones

Guinaifen primarily wants two stats: Attack to boost the damage of her Burn and Effect Hit Rate to increase the chance of Burn actually being inflicted on enemies. The Nihility has several great Light Cones to offer that support these needs, so any of the available 5-Star Light Cones suit her play style. In the Name of the World (increased damage to debuffed enemies, higher Effect Hit Rate and Attack when using Skill) and Patience Is All You Need (increased damage, Speed boost, additional DoT effect) probably fit the bill best.

Best Light Cones for Guinaifen:

  • In the Name of the World (5-Star)
  • Solitary Healing (5-Star)
  • It's Showtime! (4-Star)
  • Fermata (4-Star)
  • Eyes of the Prey (4-Star)
  • Good Night and Sleep Well (4-Star)
  • Before the Tutorial Mission Starts (4-Star)

Honkai: Star Rail – Guinaifen: best Relics

Just like with her Light Cone, the Relics for Guinaifen should focus on boosting her offensive stats. As long as there is no Relic Set option that specifically focuses on boosting follow-up damage, there is one clear winner for this job, which increases Guinaifen and Numby’s elemental damage.

Best Relic Sets for Guinaifen:

  • Prisoner in Deep Confinement (4) – +12% Attack, the wearer ignores 6% of the enemy's Defense when dealing damage to them for each DoT affecting them. This effect is valid for up to three DoT effects.
  • Firesmith of Lava-Forging (4) – +10% Fire Damage, +12% Skill Damage, and another +12% Fire Damage for the next attack after using the Ultimate.

Best Planar Ornaments for Guinaifen:

  • Firmament Frontline: Glamoth (2) – +12% Attack, +12%/18% more damage when the wearer's Speed reaches 135/160 or higher.
  • Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise (2) – +10% Effect Hit Rate, Attack increases by an amount equal to 25% of the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate up to a maximum of 25%.

Prioritize the following Relic and Planar Ornament stats for Guinaifen:

  • Head – HP (Primary), Attack %, Effect Hit Rate %, Speed, Critical Damage % or Critical Hit Rate %
  • Hands – Attack (Primary), Attack %, Effect Hit Rate %, Speed, Critical Damage % or Critical Hit Rate %
  • Body – Attack % (Primary), Effect Hit Rate %, Speed, Critical Damage %, Critical Hit Rate %
  • Feet – Speed (Primary), Attack %, Effect Hit Rate %, Critical Damage %, Critical Hit Rate %
  • Planar Sphere – Fire Damage % (Primary), Attack %, Effect Hit Rate %, Speed, Critical Damage % or Critical Hit Rate %
  • Link Rope – Energy Regeneration Rate % (Primary), Attack %, Effect Hit Rate %, Speed, Critical Damage % or Critical Hit Rate %

Honkai: Star Rail – Guinaifen: best teams

Guinaifen is perfect to fill the role of a secondary DoT-focused DPS on a team, especially to round off a composition that is focused on Fire Damage, since her Talent can inflict Firekiss on characters afflicted with Burn even if that status has not been caused by Guinaifen herself.

Guinaifen is a fantastic complementary character to Kafka, since the Stellaron Hunter can trigger the Burn effects Guinaifen causes additional times thanks to her own abilities. Kafka also boosts the DoT enemies take with her follow-up attack, helping Guinaifen deal additional damage.

Asta is a great support for the team as she increases everyone’s Speed and can inflict Burn as well, but feel free to slot any support you’ve built like Bronya, Tingyun, or Yukong into this team. If you want to lean on the DoT aspect a bit more, Sampo is another strong choice. As always, a healer or sustain rounds off the team – with characters like Natasha, Lynx, Bailu, Luocha, Gepard, and Fu Xuan you have a good selection to choose from.

Honkai: Star Rail – Guinaifen: ascension materials

Here’s everything you need to know to get Guinaifen ascended to the maximum level and upgrade all of her talents.

Guinaifen requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:

  • Credits x246,000
  • Artifex’s Module x12

You can collect Artifex’s Modules, Cogwheels, and Gyrehearts from enemies on the Xianzhou Luofu as well as the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express, too. Artifex’s Modules are one of the materials you can easily farm through the Daily Assignments to your characters, making for a steady income of the material.

Searing Steel Blades are available from the Stagnant Shadow in the Great Mine. The best source of Credits are the Golden Calyxes found on many worlds.
